Hunter Hughes was born in Augusta, Georgia. From a young age, he enjoyed watching movies and gained an interest in the film production process. Hughes earned a degree in Communications with a focus on Television and Cinema with an additional minor in Criminal Justice from Augusta University. During his time in school, he perfected his already strong attention to detail that would prove helpful in his desired profession.

Hughes believes that editing has just as much impact on the success of a film as its script or plot. The attention to detail in the editing phase of production shows through the final cut of a film. Going into his career, he hopes to prove that editing can tell a story as much as writing.
